1st Edition of the ABC Rides Fall 2005
Check out their article from the Empire News section.
Trash Hunters.
We were able to complete 8 rides and returned 200 waypoints identifying most of the dumping sites in Sonoma County and neighboring counties. The Sonoma County Public Works stepped up and were able to pick up most of the trash found at the locations identified by the numerous cyclists that were able to join the ABC Rides.

Just what the county and cycling afficionados needed!,
Great event with excellent orgaization. I lead one of the first rides in teh fall of 05' We mapped roughly 30+ points and i was totally blown away to see that after about a month or perhaps less almost all teh trach had been removed!!!! This is one of those few opportunities for us, and by us i mean cyclist AND community members, to give back to our community in a measurable, proactive manner. I actually have a small surge of pride now if i pass a trash deposit, knowing that in a few months time our co-joined forces of teh ABC rides will have it taken care of. What a great feeling this is. Lets get the word out to the rest of the community/cycling groups
